Vacation Bible School (VBS)

Get ready for exciting wilderness thrills as you head out to beautiful SonRise National Park! As kids explore SonRise National Park, they’ll learn the most important survival skill of all: they can always depend on Jesus and His promises of true peace, true riches, true power, true love and true hope! The week comes to an exciting conclusion at the Closing Celebration on Friday, July 13th, with a Mini-Musical: an event that’s fun for the entire family. 

We will be offering VBS for children ages 4 through completed 5th grade.

SonMountain Preschool Summer Camp

We are very excited to offer activities for preschoolers this summer.  Participants in our SonMountain Preschool Summer Camp will enjoy crafts, music, games, and Bible stories each day. This camp is offered to children ages 3 through completed Kindergarten, and will run for two session this summer.  Children may participate in one or both weeks of camp, and can also participate in VBS (ages 4 and up), so don't feel like you have to just pick one!

Important Dates:

• June 18 - 22 - SonMountain Preschool Camp week #1 from 9:00am until 12:00 noon
• July 23 - 27 - SonMountain Preschool Camp week #2 from 9:00am until 12:00 noon

Summer Basketball Camp

Due to the popularity of the basketball program in previous years, we will again offer THREE different sessions this summer, and have extended the program to include 6th graders as well!

Session 1 occurs Monday, July 16 through Friday, July 20.  This session runs from 9:00am - 12:00noon and is for all K-6 kids.  Families with multiple children are encouraged to sign-up for this first session. (Note: there is a limit of 8 Kindergarteners for this session)

Session 2 occurs Monday, July 23 through Friday, July 27.  This session runs from 9:00am - 12:00noon and is for the younger (K-2) kids.  

Session 3 also occurs Monday, July 23 through Friday, July 27, but runs from 1:00pm - 4:00pm.  This session is for the older (Grades 3-6) kids.

Each session only has room for 64 players, so be sure to register early!  The registration deadline is June 29th.

Our summer basketball program is being led by Eddie Rogosich, who has led 300+ clinics in 8 states and 9 countries.  He has also served as a middle and high school coach since 1988.  Coach Eddie will be assisted by other MVBC and parental volunteers.

During this program, our goal is to drill each participant into being the best player they can be, both on and off the court:

• 1-on-1, 3-on-3, and 5-on-5 games
• Hot shot shooting competitions
• Camper/Counselor game
• Camp Devotions & Christian-based instruction
